I am Mateusz and have been an entrepreneur ever since my teenage years, when I founded a business with 19 employees to finance my bachelor degree in Denmark.
After my studies, I worked in Investment Banking, before deciding to return to the classroom to complete an MBA at the University of St. Gallen (HSG).
Upon finishing my MBA, I decided to go back to the challenging, fun and passionate world of entrepreneurism.
As a citizen of the world that gains energy by discovering new cultures, people & societies, I have created LocalBini. LocalBini is currently the European experential travelling platform via which we bring people together. I believe that even though everything gets more digital and automated, there is still need for human interactions.
My goal is that one day, we can go beyond Europe with LocalBini!
At weekends, you can potetially spot me in cafés where I meet like-minded entrepreneurs to share and exchange experiences.
Besides, I am a person that likes to do various sports; and when time still allows, I love to cook delicious meals with friends.
What I’ve Done
JUNIOR ADVISOR MERGER & ACQUISITONS, AXPO AG
My three months HSG-MBA project was to create jointy with the Axpo M&A team a corporate venturing model (CVC) that Axpo could potentially apply in the future. After completing the HSG-MBA project, my role was to assist in the implementation of the CVC model.
BUSINESS DEVELOPER & ASSISTANT TO CEO, SOCIETE GENERALE
My two year tenure at Société Générale in Zurich started with a traineeship as "Assistant to CEO". Later, my function was to establish new business relations with SME's in Switzerland; shortly after I engaged in that role, I was also actively contributing within the "Institutionals Team" on selling structured products.
MANAGING DIRECTOR, ZAUBER-KIDS
In order to finance my Bachelor degree in Denmark, I created a small company with 19 employees offering creative and educational workshops/projects to children at schools in Germany.
CO-FOUNDER, THE KIDSWAY E.V.
During my Matura time at high-school, jointly with two other friends, we created a NGO with the goal to assist the young generation in making "healthy, conscious and socially acceptable" decisions (bit a la Immanuel Kant). We contributed for almost two years and had a team of 12 volunteers before we froze our operations. Our vision and mission was too ambitious after all.
